SUSPECTED CANNABIS PLANTS UPROOTED IN NYERI
Police in Nyeri have uprooted stems of suspected Cannabis sativa following a tip-off from vigilant members of the public. The operation, conducted on 8 August 2025 by officers from Kigogoini Police Post in collaboration with the area chief and the Nyumba Kumi team, targeted a farm where the illegal plants were reportedly being cultivated. The stems were seized and will be preserved as exhibits pending further police action. Two suspects, believed to be brothers, are currently at large. Police have intensified efforts to track them down and are urging anyone with information on their whereabouts to report to the nearest police station. The National Police Service remains committed to eliminating illegal drugs and appreciates the public’s continued support.
