RECOVERY OF STOLEN LIVESTOCK IN WEST POKOT

Today, Monday, 4th August 2025, a multi-agency security team, supported by elders from Lochakula Sub-Location, successfully recovered twenty-seven (27) goats in Lochakula Sub-Location, Masol Location, Pokot Central Sub-County, West Pokot County. The animals had been stolen on 26th July 2025, and the incident was reported at Kainuk Police Station. The recovered goats were transported to Kainuk ASTU Camp, where they await identification and handover to their rightful owners. A security operation to pursue and apprehend the suspects responsible for the theft is ongoing.National Police Service reiterates its commitment to the multi-agency approach in combating livestock theft and enhancing security.
