Prime Cabinet Secretary (PCS)/Ag. CS Ministry of Interior, Hon. Dr. Musalia Mudavadi Visits Injured Police Officers at Nairobi West Hospital
The Prime Cabinet Secretary (PCS) and Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs/Ag. CS Ministry of Interior, Hon. Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, today, December 19, 2024 afternoon visited injured police officers at Nairobi West Hospital. The NPS Officers were victims of an IED attack in Qarsa, in Wajir County on December 17, 2024 while on patrol. The PCS who was accompanied by the PS Internal Security-Dr. Raymond Omollo, Inspector General of Police- Mr. Douglas Kanja, DIG KPS-Mr. Eliud Lagat, DIG APS -Mr. Gilbert Masengeli and the DCI- Mr. Mohammed Amin, and NPSC CEO Mr. Peter Lelei, was received by the Nairobi West Hospital Administrators and Doctors, including former Police Officer, Dr. Stanley Mutungi.
On December 6, 2024, Hon. Mudavadi presided over the 6th Commemoration of Officers killed in line of duty, at the NPC Embakasi "A" Campus where he noted that 28 Police Officers lost their lives while discharging their official duties this year. Earlier today, while addressing members of the press at the Ministry Headquarters- Harambee House, the Ag. CS Interior further informed that NPS has lost 383 officers in line of duty during the past six years.
