POLICE IN MATUNGU SUB-COUNTY HOLD MEETING WITH BODA BODA OPERATORS
Yesterday, 11 June 2025, the Sub-County Police Commander of Matungu, alongside other officers, held a meeting with boda boda leaders from all five wards within the sub-county. The meeting took place at the Matungu Sub-County headquarters and focused on key issues affecting the boda boda sector. Topics discussed included road safety for riders, adherence to traffic rules and regulations, the importance of joining registered SACCOs (Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations), and recommended operating hours. During the meeting, the National Police Service assured boda boda operators of their full cooperation and partnership in combating crime in the area. The police also emphasised the crucial role boda boda operators play in community policing and urged them to report suspicious activities to improve safety and security in Matungu. The boda boda leaders thanked the police for organizing the meeting and pledged their commitment to complying with the matters discussed.
