ONE ARRESTED AS POLICE INTENSIFY WAR ON DRUGS IN KERICHO

Officers from the National Police Service (NPS), led by the Officer Commanding Station (OCS) of Kipsitet Police Station, conducted a successful operation on 5 July 2025, targeting a known hideout for drug peddlers in the Slaughterhouse area of Kipsitet Centre, Soin Sub-County. During the raid, the officers arrested one suspect, a resident of Kaptalamwa Village, who was found in possession of 138 rolls of cannabis (bhang). The suspect remains in custody awaiting processing and arraignment in court. The NPS has assured the public that it will continue to intensify its crackdown on narcotics, illicit brews, and related criminal activities across the country.
