NPS MARKS THE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN SOLIDARITY DAY IN NAIROBI

Inspector General of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja, today, December 20, 2024 led the National Police Service in observing the International Human Solidarity Day at the  National Police College Embakasi 'A' Campus. In his address, IG Kanja stated that NPS  strives to achieve equity, inclusivity, and non- discrimination which will ensure that police officers living with disability have equal access to opportunities as their peers. He added that the Service is collaborating with various stakeholders to address matters of mental health and supporting officers living with disability. Further, IG Kanja assured the officers that he has prioritized their welfare, which aligns with his vision of making police stations centres of excellence in police operations and service delivery. This year, 830 NPS Officers have been injured in line of duty while many others have died in line of duty. Also present were the DIG-KPS Mr. Eliud Lagat, DIG -APS Mr. Gilbert Masengeli, Deputy, DCI Mr. John Onyango, SAIG, Commandant GSU  Mr.Ranson Loolmodoni, SAIG, Commandant NPC Embakasi 'A' Campus Mr.Davis Lomwatu, SAIG, Chairperson Disability Mainstreaming Foundation, Dr. Dennis Junior, and Representatives from NPSC, and IPOA.
