NATIONAL JOINT THANKSGIVING SERVICE FOR UNIFORMED DISCIPLINED OFFICERS HELD IN NAIROBI
IG Douglas Kanja, today November 9, 2024 led NPS Officers in observing the annual National Joint Thanksgiving Service for Uniformed Disciplined Services and their families at the Holy Family Minor Basilica, Nairobi. The service was led by Rt. Rev.George Muthaka, Bishop of Garissa , and in charge of the Uniformed Disciplined Services Chaplaincy, and he appreciated Officers for their sacrifice to the peace and security of Kenya, even to the point of losing their lives in the line of duty. Similarly, Dr. Raymond Omollo-PS Internal Security commended Officers for their dedication to service delivery to the public difficult circumstances not withstanding.
IG Kanja equally thanked the church for providing a unique platform for Officers to convene with their families and seek spiritual guidance. Also present were Commissioner General of Prisons-Mr. Patrick Aranduh; Director General of KWS-Dr. Erastus Kanga; Chief Conservator of Forests-Mr. Alex Lemarkoko; Commandant General NYS-Mr. James Tembur, and DIG- Kenya Police-Mr. Eliud Lagat.
