INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE DOUGLAS KANJA OPENS COUNTY COMMANDERS STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP COURSE AT POLICE ACADEMY NGONG

Inspector General of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja has reiterated his agenda "to make police stations centers of excellence for police operations" and to do so "through training and mental health awareness among NPS Officers". The IG made the remarks when he presided over the official opening of the County Police Commanders Strategic Leadership Course No. 1/2024 at the National Police Leadership Academy in Ngong. IG Kanja who was accompanied by DIG-KPS Mr. Eliud Lagat, DIG-APS Mr. Gilbert Masengeli, and the Director of DCI Mr. Mohammed Amin, also directed the Police Commanders to strengthen community policing, multi-agency security approach, teamwork, and avoid malpractices. Also present were NPS Spokesperson Dr. Resila Onyango, AIG , Western Regional Commander Mr. Kiprono Lang'at, AIG, the Commandant National Police Leadership Academy Mr. David Mathiu, AIG, among other senior officers and course instructors.
