US AMBASSADOR MEG WHITMAN PAYS COURTESY CALL ON IG KANJA IN NAIROBI
The US Ambassador to Kenya, Her Excellency Meg Whitman today October 4, 2024 paid a courtesy call on Inspector General of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja Kirocho at his Jogoo House "A" Office. The two leaders held a discussion focused on strengthening the US-Kenya relationship on law enforcement, especially capacity building/training of NPS Officers. Amb. Meg appreciated NPS Officers for playing a critical role in providing security to US Embassy and for heeding the call to lead the MSS Mission in Haiti.
IG Kanja equally appreciated the US Government for their continued support to NPS in the fight against terrorism, drug trafficking, and border insecurity, and reaffirmed the commitment of NPS to collaborating with the US law enforcement agencies. Amb. Meg was accompanied by Embassy Legal Attache Jacob Williams, SRSO Corynn Stratton, POL Counsellor Tim Trende, and INL Director Maureen Mimnaugh. Also present was NPS Director of Human Capital and Development, Ms. Rosemary Kuraru, SAIG, Principal Assistant to IG, Mr. Mathew Kutoh and NPS Spokesperson Dr. Resila Onyango, AIG.
