UNCUSTOMED GOODS RECOVERED IN GARBATULLA

Police officers from Garbatulla Police Station in Isiolo County recovered uncustomed goods during a patrol operation along the LAPSSET corridor in the early hours of 16 August 2025. During the operation, officers intercepted a motor vehicle along the Kinna–Garbatulla road that had attempted to evade police but landed in a ditch. Upon searching it, the officers recovered 52 bags of sugar (25kg each) and nine cartons of spaghetti. The vehicle was escorted to the police station, and one suspect was arrested. The National Police Service remains committed to combating smuggling and other economic crimes that undermine national security and revenue collection.
