RETAY FALCON PISTOL RECOVERED; SUSPECT ARRESTED IN RUAKA, KIAMBU

Police in Kiambu County have arrested a 26-year-old man and recovered a firearm suspected to have been used in a series of violent robberies in the area. The suspect was apprehended today, 16 August 2025, during an intelligence-led operation in Mifereji, Ruaka. The operation followed reports of a spate of violent robberies in Rweno and Kiambaa. Upon interrogation, the suspect led officers to his residence, where a Retay Falcon pistol—without ammunition—was recovered, hidden inside a chicken shed. The suspect remains in custody, and the firearm has been secured as an exhibit. Investigations are ongoing, and the suspect will be arraigned in court once inquiries are complete.
