POLICE OFFICER BEATRICE CHEBET WINS THE 10,000M WOMEN'S RACE IN PARIS OLYMPICS
Congratulations to Police Constable Beatrice Chebet, the current world record holder in the 10,000m, for her emphatic triumph in the Women's 10,000m race in a time of 30:43.25 in the ongoing 2024 Paris Olympics, making her the only athlete at the Paris Olympics to win two individual Gold Medals.
The National Police Service Officer had also won Kenya's first Gold Medal in the Women's 5000m (14:28.56) in what was her debut in the Olympic Games.
Other NPS Officers who have won medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics are Corporal Mary Moraa - 800m Bronze medal and Police Constable Abraham Kibiwot - 3000m steeplechase Bronze medal. The Officers serve under the Administration Police Service.
