NPS AND NEWS EDITORS HOLD CONSULTATIVE MEETING IN NAIROBI
The National Police Service top leadership and News Editors from mainstream media houses today morning held a consultative meeting led by the Ag. Inspector General of Police, Mr. Gilbert Masengeli, and attended by the President of Kenya Editors Guild Zubeida Kananu, Secretary General of the Kenya Union of Journalists Eric Oduor. Today's discussion focused on modalities of enhancing police-media relations through collaboration, joint trainings and professional ethics.
Royal Media Services' representatives Linus Kaikai and Kimeli Arap Kemei, NTV Head of News Dan Mwangi, Capital FM's Benard Momanyi, Paul Ilado (Radio Africa), and veteran journalist Macharia Gaitho, Chris Oyuga (People Daily), Millicent Awuor (KBC), Ruth Nesoba (BBC) East Africa Deployments Editor, and Victor Bwire from the Media Council of Kenya were also present.
Other Senior NPS Officers present included DIG-Kenya Police, Mr. Eliud Lagat, DCI Mr. Mohamed I. Amin, Director Human Capital and Development Rosemary Kuraru, SAIG and Nairobi Regional Police Commander, Adamson Bungei, AIG.
