IG KANJA OFFICIALLY CLOSES NPS COUNTY COMMANDERS STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP COURSE
Inspector General of Police Mr. Douglas Kanja, today, December 20, 2024, officially closed the National Police Service County Commanders Course No. 1/2024 at the National Police Leadership Academy- Ngong. The five weeks Leadership Course comprised of Senior Police Commanders drawn from the KPS, APS, and the DCI. The Police Chief reminded County Commanders of their critical role in mentoring, and supervising their juniors. He underscored the importance of continuous training in imparting knowledge, and skills as part of his priority to transform police stations into centers of excellence for police operations and service delivery.
Further, IG Kanja stated that the Service is collaborating with different partners including the Kenya School of Government to train officers on customer service. Accompanying the IG were his deputies, DIG Eliud Lagat (Kenya Police), DIG Gilbert Masengeli (Administration Police Service), the DCI Mr. Mohammed Amin, NPS Spokesperson-Dr. Resila Onyango, AIG . The Commandant NPLA is Mr. Mathiu Kainga, AIG.
