IG KANJA MEETS WITH DEPARTMENTAL COMMITTEE ON DEFENCE, INTELLIGENCE AND FOREIGN RELATIONS INQUIRING INTO THE CONDUCT OF BATUK
The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja Kirocho has today appeared before the Departmental Committee on Defence, Intelligence and Foreign Relations and made submissions on the inquiry into the conduct of the British Army Training Unit in Kenya (BATUK). The IG assured the Hon. Nelson Koech-Defence Committee that the ongoing investigation by the DCI Homicide Unit in collaboration with their UK counterparts, into the murder of Agnes Wanjiru Wanjiku and Tilam Leresh in 2012, has reached advanced stage and that those found culpable will be brought to book. Today, IG Kanja was accompanied by the DCI Mr. Mohamed I. Amin, NPS Spokesperson, Dr. Resila Onyango, AIG and Director Homicide Unit, Mr. Martin Nyuguto, SSP.
