IG KANJA MAKES AN IMPROMPTU VISIT TO THIKA POLICE STATION.

Inspector General of Police Mr. Douglas Kanja today December 17, 2024 afternoon made an impromptu visit at Thika Police Station, Kiambu County, accompanied by his Deputies,  Mr. Eliud Lagat (Kenya Police), Mr.Gilbert Masengeli Administration Police), and the DCI Mr. Mohammed I. Amin. They inspected various departments within the Police Station  including Report Office, Gender and Child Protection Unit, Crime Office, Police Cells, Armoury, Exhibits Store and the Traffic Department, DCI Offices as well as the Sub-County Administration Police Offices.
The IG who commended the officers for maintaining cleanliness within the station, also advised them to be extra vigilant during this festive season and to be guided by the recently launched National Police Service Strategic Plan, in ensuring that Thika Police Station becomes a centre of excellence in police operations, and service delivery. The Police Chief also took time to interact with suspects in police cells, and had a light moment speaking with the children of  Officers. Also present were KPS Director Logistics, Mr. Peter Ndung'u, SAIG, NPS Spokesperson-Dr. Resila Onyango, AIG and Director Operation DCI, Mr. Richard Mwaura, AIG. The Sub- County Police Commander Mr. Lawrence Muchangi,SSP, and the Sub- County Criminal Investigations Officer is Ms. Jacinta Ndavi, SP.
