DEPUTY INSPECTOR GENERAL KENYA POLICE, ELIUD LAGAT MEETS WITH NAIROBI REGION POLICE COMMANDERS
Deputy IG Kenya Police Service, Mr. Eliud Lagat held a meeting with all Nairobi Region Police Commanders today, October 11, 2024, at the Police Pavilion in South C, discussing policing efforts and challenges in Nairobi Region/County. Addressing members of the press during the meeting, DIG Lagat emphasized that securing Nairobi is key in enhancing economic and social growth on Kenya. He also took the opportunity to assure the public that security operations have been intensified in Tana River Country following the recent violent attacks that have already claimed 15 lives.
Commending the Officers for their selflessness and dedication to securing the capital city, he urged the Commanders to be professional in their work, enhance teamwork through multi-agency strategy amidst limited resources, and ensure that discipline prevails by being role models to their juniors, adding that these values are essential in achieving KPS objectives of improving service delivery to the public. DIG Lagat is accompanied by Director Logistics, Mr. Peter Ndung'u, S/AIG, NPS Spokesperson, Dr. Resila Onyango, AIG, Director Personnel KPS, Madam Catherine Mugwe, AIG, NPS Senior Chief Finance Officer, Mr. Arthur Nduati, Director Legal Affairs KPS, and Mrs. Elizabeth Marube, ASP. Also present was the host Regional Police Commander, Mr. Adamson Bungei, AIG.
