CS INTERIOR FLAGS OFF 4TH CONTIGENT OF NPS OFFICERS TO THE MSS MISSION IN HAITI
The Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration, Hon. Kipchumba Murkomen this morning flagged off the fourth contingent of NPS officers for the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSSM), in Haiti. Addressing the Officers, Hon. Murkomen expressed confidence in the officers' capability to deliver in their mission of securing Haiti state while noting that the noble cause is backed by the United Nations and International Community. Equally, the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja noted that the additional Officers will continue working closely with the Haitian National Police and other MSSM teams.
The elite Officers drawn from NPS Formations and Units will join the first three contingents deployed last year and early this year in the Kenyan-led mission alongside other officers from Jamaica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Bahamas, and Belize. Also present during the flag-off event were the PS for Internal Security and National Administration, Dr. Raymond Omollo, PS for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Dr. Korir Sing’oei, National Security Advisor Amb. Dr. Monica Juma, Consul-General to Haiti Mr. Noor Gabow, Deputy NSA/Former IG Mr. Joseph Boinnet, KQ Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Kamal George and other senior NPS Officers.
