AG. Ig NSPECTOR GENERAL MASENGELI IN KIGANJO CAMPUS FOR THE CLOSING CEREMONY OF HIGHER TRAINING COURSES NO. 117-120
The Ag. Inspector General National Police Service, Mr. Gilbert Masengeli is currently at Main Campus Kiganjo presiding over the closing ceremony of the Higher Training Course (HTC) courses No. 117 to 120. HTC is the highest and terminal promotional course in the NPS. 120 Officers (88 Male and 29 female) reported for the training on February 29, 2024 for the 26 weeks course, unfortunately NPS suffered a tragic loss of one of the cadets during the training. In his remarks, AG. IG Masengeli emphasized that HTC is "designed to equip Chief Inspectors with leadership and managerial skills that will enable you [them] to effectively undertake operational and administrative duties as middle-level managers", said the Police Chief.
He urged the Officers "to take interest in mental health by encouraging officers in need to seek medical assistance, currently fully covered by NPS Medical Insurance", he noted. Mr. Masengeli also urged the Commanders to sustain the multi-agency strategy working closely with other security agencies and members of public. DIG Kenya Police, Mr. Eliud Lagat congratulated the Officers for their endurance during the training. Also present is KPS Director Logistics, Mr. Peter Ndung’u, SAIG, NPS Spokesperson, Dr. Resila Onyango, AIG and Deputy Director Operations KPS, Mr. David Mburukwa, CP, college priest, Fr. JB Macharia.
