IG KANJA, UNDP GOVERNANCE ADVISOR ANKI DELLNAS HOLD MEETING TO SPEARHEAD THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MARAGA TASKFORCE REPORT

The Inspector General National Police Service,  Mr. Douglas Kanja Kirocho has today held a long discussion about strategies of implementing  recommendations of the "Maraga Taskforce on Police, Prison, and National Youth Service reforms." In his remarks, the IG mentioned training of Officers as his  priority to matching modern day policing. IG Kanja further stated that he is keen on transforming police stations into centres of excellence for police operations, where service delivery to the public is standardized, in addition to digitization of Police services.
The UNDP Governance Advisor  Anki Dellnas who is accompanied by Leanne MacKay -UNDP Senior Advisor, Governance and Rule of Law, and UNDP consultant Dan Juma  also reaffirmed their commitment to support NPS in implementing the Maraga taskforce recommendations.
