IG KANJA PRESIDES OVER THE OPENING OF THIKA POLICE COMMUNITY CHAPEL
Inspector General of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja, today, March 9, 2025, presided over the official opening of the Thika Police Community Chapel at Thika West Sub-County Police Headquarters. The dedication service was led by Archbishop Dr. Harrison Ng'ang'a, who emphasized the importance of work and service to God in his sermon. He encouraged police officers to uphold integrity and seek spiritual guidance as they carry out their duties. Established through the collaborative efforts of the National Police Service, Mount Kenya University, and the local community, the chapel reflects a shared commitment to overall well-being within the Service.
It will serve as a place of worship and support for police officers, their families, and the community. Also attending the dedication service were National Police Service Commission (NPSC) Chairman Mr. Eliud Kinuthia, Deputy Inspector General of Kenya Police Service Mr. Eliud Lagat, NPS Spokesperson Mr. Muchiri Nyaga, CP, Central Regional Police Commander Samuel Ndanyi, CP, and Kiambu County Police Commander, Doris Mugambi, SSP.
