IG DOUGLAS KANJA ON A SECURITY VISIT IN MERU COUNTY

Inspector General of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja Kirocho on September 24, 2024 spent the day in Tigania West Constituency, Meru County, assessing the security situations in the area. The IG who was joined by the local leaders including MP for Igembe North- Hon. Julius Taitumu , MP for Tigania East- Hon. Mpuru Aburi, MP Tigania West John Mutunga, MP Buuri Mugambi Rindikiri, Tigania West Deputy County Commissioner - Faith Murage, spent the day discusing the security situation and crafting ways of dealing with the insecurity resulting from the rise in cattle rustling in the region. IG Kanja was accompanied by the DIG-APS, Mr. Gilbert Masengeli, Commandant GSU, Mr. Ranson Lolmodoni, SAIG, Dep Director Operations KPS-Mr. Benson Mbatha, AIG, Director CVE DCI-Mr Dennis Okadapau and the Director Operations DCI-Mr. Mwaura. Also present were County Police Commanders from Meru.
