HIS EXCELLENCY THE PRESIDENT DR. WILLIAM RUTO INSTALS DOUGLAS KANJA AS THE INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE

On 9/19/2024 afternoon, His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Forces, officially installed Mr. Douglas Kanja into the rank and command of the Inspector General National Police Service, at a colorful ceremony held at State House Nairobi.

In his remarks, His Excellency the President Dr. Ruto expressed his confidence in the newly appointed IG Kanja, whom he described as a seasoned leader, a disciplined career officer, and a dedicated Kenyan.

Earlier in the morning, Mr. Kanja was officially sworn in as the 5th Inspector General of Police at the Supreme Court by Chief Justice Hon. Martha Koome.
