DIG MASENGELI TAKES OVER LEADERSHIP OF ADMINISTRATION POLICE SERVICE

On July 29, 2024, Mr. Gilbert Masengeli, MBS, OGW, SS took over office as the DIG–APS at a colorful ceremony held at APS Headquarters, Jogoo House ‘A’. He further assured of his commitment to teamwork through the multi-agency approach to ensure peace and security for all in the country. Mr. Masengeli takes over from Mr. James Kamau, SAIG who was serving as the Acting DIG-APS.

He will also act as the Inspector General National Police Service as former Acting IG Douglas Kanja Kirocho awaits his Parliamentary vetting after he was nominated by His Excellency President Dr. Ruto as the IG.
Today’s ceremony was attended by Officers from APS.

In his address to the press during today's ceremony,DIG Masengeli expressed his gratitude to His Excellency the President of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces,Dr. William S. Ruto for his appointment and successful vetting by the National Police Service Commission. He further assured of his commitment to teamwork through the multi-agency approach to ensure peace and security for all in the country. Mr. Masengeli takes over from Mr. James Kamau, SAIG who was serving as the Acting DIG-APS.
