DEPUTY INSPECTORS GENERAL LAGAT AND MASENGELI MAKE IMPROMPTU VISITS TO GITHUNGURI AND RUIRU POLICE STATIONS

Today November 20, 2024, DIG KPS, Mr. Eliud Lagat and DIG APS, Mr. Gilbert Masengeli made impromptu visits to Githunguri and Ruiru Police Stations within Kiambu County. DIG Lagat emphasized to the Officers at Githunguri and Ruiru Police Stations in Kiambu County that his priority and that of IG Douglas Kanja is transform police stations into centers of excellence for police operations and service delivery to members of the public. They urged Officers to enhance teamwork, war against illicit brews, and encourage conversation around mental health. They later visited Githunguri Sub-County Administration Police Headquarters. At Ruiru Police Station, they were  received by Police Constable Yusuf Sigei who was on duty at the Report Office. The DIGs were accompanied by the NPS Spokesperson, Dr. Resila Onyango, AIG. The Sub-County Police Commander for Githunguri is Mrs. Mary Kaimenyi, SSP and OCS for Githunguri Police Station is Chief Inspector Lucy Mwarire.
