ACTING US AMBASSADOR PAYS COURTESY CALL ON IG KANJA

The Acting US Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Marc D. Dillard, today, 19th February 2025, paid a courtesy call on the Inspector General of the National Police Service, Mr. Douglas Kanja, at the NPS Headquarters, Jogoo House "A", Nairobi.

Their discussion focused on a wide range of issues, including training and capacity building, border security, respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, and cooperation in countering terrorism and drug trafficking.

H.E. Dillard commended NPS officers for their critical role in providing security to the US Embassy and for leading the MSS Mission in Haiti.

On his part, IG Kanja expressed his appreciation to the US Government for their continued support and reaffirmed the commitment of the NPS to strengthening the US-Kenya relationship in law enforcement.

Accompanying the Acting Ambassador were the Senior Regional Security Officer, Ms. Corynn Stratton, the Director of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement, Ms. Maureen Mimnaugh, the Counter-Terrorism Advisor, Mr. Dan Wright, and the Legal Attaché, Mr. Jake William.

Flanking the IG were the Principal Assistant to the Inspector General, Mr. Mathew Kutoh, AIG, the Director of Human Capital Development, Dr. Mwangi Wanderi, AIG, the Director of Reforms, Mr. John Kamau, AIG, and the Director of Planning, Mr. Lesasuiyan Richard, CP.
