FARE THEE WELL, MZEE WESTON KIROCHO KANJA
His Excellency President Dr.William Ruto joined the family and friends of the late Weston Kirocho Kanja today, 23rd October 2025, in celebrating his life at Lechugu Primary School in Laikipia County. Mr.Weston Kirocho Kanja, the father of the Inspector General of Police, passed away on 14th October 2025. He was eulogized as a man who loved deeply, worked tirelessly, and lived honorably. His life’s journey reflected resilience, service, and devotion, as he played a part in shaping our nation's history. President Ruto praised the late Mzee Kanja for the care he provided to his family and for raising a leader who now safeguards the country's security. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate his life.
The Inspector General of Police, Mr.Douglas Kanja, thanked God for the precious years they shared with his father, noting his profound positive influence. The Inspector General also thanked the President, Cabinet Secretaries, colleagues, friends, and the government for their support during this difficult time. Mr.Weston Kirocho Kanja was laid to rest at his family home in Thome Village, Matanya Sub-Location, Tigithi Location, Laikipia County. The National Police Service fraternity extends its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the late Mr.Weston Kirocho Kanja. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Kimani Ichung'wah; the MP for Alego Usonga, Hon. Samuel Atandi; the Secretary General of COTU, Mr. Francis Atwoli; the National Security Advisor to the President, Dr. Monica Juma; and various Principal Secretaries.
