Ag. IG MASENGELI AT NATIONAL POLICE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY, NGONG

Ag. IG, Mr. Gilbert Masengeli, is today officiating the closing ceremony of the  Sub-County Police Commanders (SCPC) Course No. 2/2024 at the National Police Leadership Academy (NPLA) in Ngong’. The five weeks' leadership management course of 190 SCPCs is the second following the completion of the first cohort that had 170 SCPC, and draws senior guest speakers from government and non-government agencies such as KDF, DPP, NIS, Media Council of Kenya, and financial institutions. 
In his remarks, the acting IG Masengeli advised the Officers to work as a team  (KPS, APS and DCI), and enhance service delivery to wananchi. Likewise, DIG KPS Mr. Eliud Lagat called upon the Commanders to positively influence those under their command for optimal service delivery to the public. Today, the SCPCs presented three policy briefs to the Ag. IG, touching on police station management , Crowd Control management in the 21st C Policing, and Police Integrity. The initiative to produce policy papers spearheaded by DIG-KPS Mr. Eliud Lagat is aimed at encouraging senior officers at NPLA to come up with effective and practicable solutions to modern policing challenges.
