PRESS RELEASE ON END OF HOLIDAYS AND SAFE TRAVELS
Many Kenyans and visitors alike took a break from their busy schedules and travelled to various parts of the country to join their families and friends in celebrating and making merry during the Easter Holidays. As such, traffic congestion was experienced on many of our roads.
From police reports, we are happy to note that the holidays went on well without any major incident or disruption, courtesy of joint collaboration and vigilance between law enforcers and the public.
With the coming to an end of the Easter Holidays, more congestion is reasonably expected as travellers return back to their places of work. The NPS joined by NTSA takes this early opportunity to wish all road users safe travels. We appeal to all motorists to exercise utmost caution and vigilance on the roads, while taking their personal safety, that of their families, loved ones and other road users into consideration. It only takes personal responsibility, cautiousness and respect to the rule of law to keep one accident away.
Police officers working jointly with NTSA and other partners are deployed on all major roads to enforce the law, and facilitate free flow of traffic. They shall also be helpful to all motorists and other road users.
