SOCIAL MEDIA ALLEGATIONS ON ASSAULT BY POLICE.

The attention of the National Police Service has been drawn to allegations doing rounds in the social media on alleged assault by police on members of the public in an estate within Nairobi.

We wish to clarify to the public that the incident had nothing to do with the enforcement of curfew orders. The information we have is that certain individuals attending a night party within the residential area caused disturbance to the neighbors who reported the matter to the police for action.

PRELIMINARY REPORT ON THE SUDDEN DEATH OF MR. KARANJA KABAGE (2019-07-06).

We wish to inform the public of sudden death of Mr. Karanja Kabage on Friday 5th July, 2019 at around 2147 hours.

 SECURITY HEIGHTENED IN PLACES OF WORSHIP DURING RAMADAN (2019-05-15).

The National Police Service (NPS) wishes all Muslims a blessed Ramadan. Apart from fasting, Muslims across the country perform regular and taraweeh prayers which extend to late night hours.

WANTED TERROR SUSPECTS (2019-04-28).

 

Enhanced security alertness, the ongoing police investigations and public support have helped our security agencies to foil a number of possible attacks in the country.

To further intensify the fight against the terrorism, the National Police Service has released photographs of wanted terror suspects and requests members of the public, relatives and acquaintances of the suspects to provide information on their whereabouts to aid in further investigations. We wish to inform that the suspects could be armed and dangerous, and may cause harm to the public.

The Police also calls upon the terror suspects to surrender themselves.
