PRESS STATEMENT

The annual Easter Holidays are once again here with us. It is usually characterized by Christians congregating in worship places while others throng entertainment joints.

Normally, there is also an increased number of travelers to rural homes and other various destinations by road, water and air.

We wish to inform that the National Police Service (NPS) has taken necessary arrangements to provide public safety and security to all citizens countrywide.

A ROBUST INTERNAL AFFAIRS UNIT TO DEAL WITH COMPLAINTS AGAINST POLICE (2019-04-18).

The Inspector General of Police Mr Hilary Mutyambai is committed to revamping the Internal Affairs Unit (IAU) with a view to making it robust to conclusively deal with corruption and other complaints against the Police.

Mr. Mutyambai said the IAU whose mandate is to Police the Police officers, is geared towards instilling discipline and   professionalism in the service.

NPS AIRWING TO BE DECENTRALIZED (2019-04-17).
The Inspector General of the National Police Service Mr. Hillary Mutyambai has said that the NPS Airwing will be decentralized in order to  provide quick response in the field especially in operation areas.
The IG said  Modern  Aircrafts fitted with night vision and infra - red capabililities, will be utilized during both day and night operations to provide safety and security at all times.

INSPECTOR GENERAL MR. MUTYAMBAI VISITS SERVICES HEADQUARTERS (2019-04-16).

The Inspector General Mr. Hillary Mutyambai has reminded all Police officers to adhere to the provisions of law while discharging their duties.

Mr. Mutyambai was speaking to Administration and Kenya Police Services Directors at Jogoo and Vigilance houses respectively during his familiarization tour of the two services today.

Good morning,

It gives me great pleasure to preside over the closing ceremony of this important course. This is my first week in office and I am glad to visit this magnificent college to preside over a senior officers`course closing ceremony. I attach a lot of importance to capacity building of officers across the rank and file.

 Let me start by congratulating the course participants for successfully undergoing the two weeks intense County Commanders leadership Development programme, here at National Police Service Senior Staff College-Loresho Campus. It is my hope that you have benefited from the lessons learnt and that it has changed your way of perceiving and doing things.
