DIGITIZATION OF POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE APPLICATION (2019-10-05).
 
The National Police  Service (NPS)   will soon digitize systems to provide Police Clearance Certificate application to enable applicants access the document with ease. 
President Uhuru Kenyatta who visited the stand appreciated the efficiency and effectiveness
of the  pilot project that is expected to cover all Huduma Centres in the country. 
The system is geared towards enabling applicants' fingerprints to be taken electronically at the Huduma Centres country wide,  sent to the automated palm and fingerprints integrated system  for processing and relayed back to applicants account. 
The seamless connection and extension of the system will go along way in increasing the number  of applicants to meet the ever increasing demand for the document. 
Previously, applicants  fingerprints used to be taken manually and transported to Nairobi for processing which caused delays in the issuance of the certificate.
Currently, over 4,000 police clearance certificates are processed daily and once the project is rolled out,  over 6,000 certificates will  be processed daily.
