Police Hot Lines

The National Police Service notes with concern continued comments, inferences and quoting of misleading, inaccurate and distorted crime data purported to be contained in the Economic Survey, 2016 of the Kenya Bureau of Statistics.

The Bureau of Statistics Data was established to have been misinterpreted in respect to the National Police Service Crime Statistics data of 2015. In this regard, the Director General, KNBS protested the same and wrote to the concerned media house.

The Inspector General of Police Mr. Joseph Boinnet has reiterated the commitment of the National Police Service (NPS) to continue establishing internal, regional and international linkages and partnerships with a view to building collaborative networks to enhance security.

Mr. Boinnet said this today while addressing a delegation of 35 Uganda Police officers who paid him a courtesy  call in his office.

SUSPECT HATE SPEECH BY CERTAIN MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT

The attention of the National Police Service has been drawn to the statements attributed to Hon.  Aisha Jumwa, Hon. Timothy Bosire, Hon.Ferdinand Waititu, Hon.Junet Mohamed, Hon.Kimani Ngunjiri, Hon.Moses Kuria and Senator Johnstone Muthama made in the last few days that are said to be laced with ethnic hatred, vilification and border on incitement

On behalf of the National Police Service, I take this opportunity to wish our Muslim brothers and sisters Ramadhan Kareem as they observe this Holy Month.

Ramadhan, as we all know, is a period in which our Muslim brothers and sisters re-dedicate themselves to the Faith, through prayer and goodwill to their neighbors. However, the tranquility that ought to come with the Holy Month is at times desecrated by terror groups to commit atrocities on innocent civilians.

The Inspector General of Police  Mr. Joseph Boinnet today received 541 reflective jackets and 504 stab jackets, a donation from a Police organization based in UK known as National Police Aid Convoys.

The donations were made through the International Police Association (IPA) Kenya Section President Mr. Otieno Osur.

While receiving the donation, Mr. Boinnet hailed the International Police Association (IPA) Kenya Section for developing an international network for the benefit of both serving and retired Police Officers.
