INTERNAL AFFAIRS UNIT NEWS OFFICES COMMISSIONED (2018-11-09).
The Commissioning of the New offices for the Internal Affairs Unit (IAU), separate from  police premises, has been described as a major milestone in the National Police Service transformation journey. 

CHANGE OF DATE FOR COMMISSIONING OF IAU  NEW OFFICES (2018-11-07).

The function has now  been rescheduled to take place on Friday 9th November , 2018 at 0800 Hours NOT on Thursday as indicated on the yesterday's  advert in the local dailies.
 
We regret any inconvenience caused by the  change of date as it was necessitated by circumstances beyond our control.                                                                                                                                                                                                           

 

NATIONAL POLICE SERVICE AND NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (2018-11-06).

The Inspector General of the National Police Service Mr. Joseph Boinnet  and the acting Director General of the National Youth Service Matilda Sakwa signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two Services.The MoU will see  280 servicemen from the NYS attached to the Integrated Communication Command and Control centre (IC3) at the NPS headquarters.

These servicemen will work alongside National Police Service officers at the IC3 after which the eligible ones will be enlisted as police officers in NPS.

The IG also visited the National Youth Service tailoring factory to asses their preparedness for the production of the new police uniforms set to commence soon.The IG NPS Mr. Joseph Boinnet and Ag. DG NYS Matilda Sakwa display the signed MoU.

INSPECTOR GENERAL J. BOINNET AT NATIONAL POLICE COLLEGE EMBAKASI 'A' CAMPUS- (2018-11-03).

Over 1000 Police Officers today congregated at the National Police Service College Embakasi 'A' Campus - (formerly APTC), where the Inspector General Mr Joseph Boinnet addressed them on the new Policy Framework on the Reorganization of the National Police Service.
The officers were drawn from the NPS College Embakasi 'A' Campus, ,  NPS College Embakasi 'B' Campus (formerly, GSU Training School),  Critical Infrastructure Protection Unit (CIPU), Security of Government Buildings (SGB) and Rapid Deployment Unit (RDU). The Inspector General took them through the new NPS changes which are geared towards enhancing their efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery .

IPOA AND NPS COMMIT TO WORK TOGETHER (2018-10-23).

The National Police Service (NPS) will continue working together with the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) to ensure that the officers uphold professionalism and adhere to the rule of law while discharging their duties. The Inspector General Mr. Joseph Boinnet shake hands with the IPOA Chairperson Mrs. Ann Makori at the IPOA Offices Nrb.
